Today, I learned many of the basic concepts of wood
turning along with how to use a lathe, and various tools commonly used with it.
I started out on some scrap wood to get the feel of and learn to use the lathe.
I then transitioned to using a chunk of cedar.With the help of my mentor, I
was able to complete a bowl out of this piece of wood by the end of the day.
